Just downloaded and played a few warzone matches and I was pleasantly surprised. I actually came out not too bad! I'm not a huge FPS fan, but I can maybe see myself getting into this game. Any word on clan setup yet?

KZ2 had a pretty deep clan feature. I imagine KZ3 will as well

In terms of storyline, and I'm not sure if anyone can answer this yet, but will it be a setback for me to start on the 3rd game instead of going through the first two games first? I'm currently doing that on Assassin's Creed, but I'm so far behind on PS3 games that I'll never catch up if I keep doing the same thing! haha

I never played 1, but understood 2 just fine.
though apparently 3 starts where 2 left off. so you might want to at least play 2 1st.
also the story is much shorter the AC so it should be a lot easier to play through and catch up.

To be honest I personally didn't feel like they actually had a story other than go here kill lots of enemies, go here blow up this, go here kill etc etc
Plus you would have to go back to PS2 for killzone 1, luckily for you I have found exactly what you are looking for: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], watch that and you should understand what is happening, because I don't remember much more than what was siad in the video myself.

Is there full custom button mapping in the game? I had to bolt on the beta because both controller setups had something tied to R3. So, I spent most of the game trying to shoot people only to have the melee action happen.
I had the same problem on RFOM but I was able to map the R3 action to another button.
Apparently, it is impossible for me to play a game without pressing down on R3.

Cam great videos, and once again, so helpful!
On another note, is anyone else having trouble connecting to the Multiplayer?

I really like operations mode. it reminds me of BFBC2 rush mode but the objectives varies like planting bombs to controlling areas. I also have trouble finding games but at least there is a Botzone

Not for the beta. You can switch between two seperate layouts that are pre-assigned. Hopefully in the full game they can allow full button mapping.

I really like the look of this. I never played KZ2 but for some reason it reminds me of R2, as opposed to COD. Love the upgrades too and since I never got to give R2 a go online maybe I should be picking this up in the future??

Killzone cannot be compared to CoD or R2. It is it's own genre, its a great alternative to those other guys. I really enjoyed the demo, accept ISA assault rifle, the sight is horrible, cant see outside the scope, it blocks my peripheryals(sp) and the Sponge doesnt like anything blocking his peripheryals!!! The only potential COD killer out there will be whatever Respawn makes.

I'm not big on COD either. I also wasn't huge on KZ2. This - with some fun parties, I could see this being fun.

I don't know what the heck is wrong with me, I am SO interested in this game and wanna give it a serious go, but at the same time I'm afraid of sucking so bad, haha.
Will playing the bots actually help me get better for the real deal? Or should I just jump in, head first?

I like what I see from the beta so far. But sadly of all of the times I've tried I am unable to get into the online play I know that this has been a common problem, so someone must know how to fix it... Please tell me

I actually dove headfirst. But the bot mode is actually a GREAT tool. It unlocks EVERY weapon and every class. So you can figure out what class you like. What weapons feel better and what class perks you want to unlock. Because unlocking strategically will be a huge way of helping you progress. So bot mode allows you to see what you will lik ebefore you have to spend valuable unlock points on stuff

Sadly there isn't any one THING you can do Its happened to me multiple times and then all of a sudden - whoop....there you go and it lets you in
At least bot mod still is accessible at least if multiplayer isnt.

Yeah, that's what I've been messing around with.
I've tried to log into the MP around ten times, and only once have I been able to choose my region. Once. All of the other times it just kind of waited around for like ten minutes.
