| Like being in a tank, on roller skates while trying to shoot a monkey using bow on a skating rink.
But it might be a little different now, after a few patches. |

| I didn't find it that bad. I think I'm still under the NDA, technically, so I'll say only that the shooting controls could use a bit of work, and that beta server lag was definitely in place. Also, vehicle control gets more refined with each patch, so it's probably pretty good by now. |

| I've had this for a little over a couple of weeks but played some battles for the first time yesterday. It's pretty fun, though it seems like it would be more so if it was with a group of people P: And if I had a better idea of what I was doing. My first reaction to the game was something along the lines of "God, this is just about as in depth and immersive as I've heard Eve Online being. ....Oh." |

| ^What she said.
I think it's really fun. I think I still need to get used to the controls and the amount of sway the guns have, but I love the customization and RPG elements. |

| The sway, oh god the sway. I'm sure I'll enjoy it far more once I get the stats to take that down a few notches as well. |

| Back when the first beta was out it was way more terrible, I believe I referenced it being something like controlling a tiger on a elephants back while it struggles on Roller skate on a ice skating rink...

This seems pretty accurate. I was just going to go for sniping is like mounting a camera onto a mexican jumping bean, but this is much more eloquent. There is a reason I primarily use the assault rifle :V |

That was my biggest problem with the game. The stats impact the actual handling of the weapons and the damage they do. It gives those with more skill points a huge advantage. Need to see how they've improved this game soon. I haven't played since before I last posted here. |

Has to be some incentive for people to pay more, etc. I'm just happy it's not ONLY people that pay money can improve and everyone else is stuck at the bottom. I'd rather have a chance to work my way up and get better than to be stuck at the bottom. |

| The problem would be the people who will hover in High Sec (Think Newbie Space.) with more advanced "skills" just to grief, because it's easier killing new players who simply won't have as many skill points. And they will hover, no mistake. At least in any other game the newbies will be able to eventually apply enough real skill to kill the less skilled even with superior guns. But here they won't be able to shoot as accurately, hit as hard, or take as much damage even if both combatants are wearing the same equipment and it's through no fault of their own.
The people I raised this point to on the beta forum were only looking at it from the rational perspective, assuming that everyone would just advance through that stage as quickly as possible because the bigger toys are too expensive for the payouts in High Sec. But that fails to take into account not only that passive skill buffs make even the basic guns better than the ones a newbie has, but also that griefers are not rational people. Their only enjoyment is in making others miserable, and newbie hunting is the perfect way to do it. Nor does that take into account the audience this game is hoping to capture, the CoD crowd. Anything beyond High Sec could be hard. The second it gets too tough out there they'll turn back to where it was easy because that's what they want out of the game.
Unless they have something to force players with a certain skill point cap or some such out of High Sec many simply won't leave.

That's a problem I have with the game as well. I don't feel like I'm earning my kills or winning gunfights fairly. Also, a heads up: Sensitivity values are reversed. 0 is fastest. 100 is slowest. I do not know if this is the case with the mouse. |

| Another heads up: If you were in earlier builds of the beta, it may be a good idea to delete your DUST 514 client and reinstall from scratch. I'm not 100% certain, but hit detection seems to be a bit better for me, it plays a bit smoother... Besides, my DUST 514 client was 8358MB. Now it's only 2717MB. |

| This game can be pretty easy to do well in. Been pulling 10-20+ kill games with 0-2 deaths when it's not too laggy. >-> |

| It's just too damn laggy for me, and the sound design is still all f'ed up.
I really enjoy the concept, and I like everything until you get on the battlefield, then all of a sudden the game starts falling apart.
Also, don't pick a female skin, there will be a lot of guys walking infront of you... hoping.. for something... *Shudders*
