Its another thing Microsoft has that Sony don't. It seems every year Sony took away abilities from the PS3 like backward compatibility. I get the pirating issue but if you are the first time owner of a disc I dont see why you cant put it on your HD. |

| B/c you own the disk, but not the software. You have a license to use the software which is revoked by not following the eula rigorously. ...since you asked... Also, I command this game to appear sooner! |

^This At this point I'm willing to get off my ass and put a disc in (to play Borderlands 2 ), even if they are going extinct and there's no reason for them any more except to drag out the disc era as long as possible for money |

Also, I command this game to appear sooner! Ah baloney. You can get a digital copy of movies, games and songs from discs. Microsoft will let Xbox owners install a game on their HD. Sony must be super paranoid about a disc being copied over and over again. I see no VALID reason why Sony can't allow digital copies of games to be installed on their console. |

| I forsee many parties of four random players all using Zer0. I must admit I'm most excited to play as Zer0 aswell but what character are you guys considering playing after 1/2 playthroughs with him (if you are going to go with him first)? I'm thinking of just starting with maybe Axton or Salvador just to get comfortable with the game, maybe build up a few badass ranks. Who will you guys be playing as? Hopefully enough people feel the same as me and decide to have a little variety. Playing with a support gunner in Borderlands 1 was such a relief with ammo regen and I can't wait to see what they do with Axton. I know Maya has some team assiting skills too. |

| the siren is pretty good. zer0 does the most raw damage, but the siren is good for crowd control. Id want to play her for her ability to turn enemies on each other.
but 1st play through is zer0. because I loved the old siren and he plays most like that. but im not bringing a sniper. its gonna be a close range melee/shotgun zer0 |

| My first playthrough will probably be with Sal. Afterward, I'll most likely use Zero. I doubt I'll ever use Axton. My third choice will either be Maya or the Mechromancer. Also, is it just me, or does the assault rifle at the bottom look like a Kalashnikov/AK? - Spoiler:

Hopefully that design isn't exclusive to the Gearbox Gunpack. I wonder if the items of the Premiere Club will be included with the inevitable GotY edition? |

| Yep, won't be getting to touch the Mechromancher anyway.
Moving on. I think I shall be going with Salvatore. Duel Welding anything is like the only thing I go for. |

| I must admit dual gatling-style barrels is very appealing its too bad Salvador will be the least played character. I might start with him aswell Or one of the others... Really can't say yet. |

Dual Tri-Barrel Gatling Guns! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Probably one of the most amusing parts of the Xenosaga games. I do wish they'd turned out to be good for more than amusement though. What happened, Xenosaga? /tangent

| While that's a pretty epic pic, I must wonder if the ammo supply for a beast like that would last for more than a second or two, based on where I imagine ammo storage must be. "Would it need to (last for longer)?" is prolly also discussion worthy. |

| Well, KOS MOS there is an android... Yes, there was much speculation. Filthy, filthy speculation. Actually, when she's not firing them in combat, they just kind of go away, then come back when she wants to fire them again. Presumably wherever they teleport to, they also resupply. |

| Zer0's sword, vehicles in the first (and likely second) game and weapons (especially Tediore ones) "digistruct", or materialize from a virtual reality space in the Borderlands universe. That might explain why Lilith is able to hold 1440 rounds of SMG ammo and 48+ weapons |

Or one of the others... Really can't say yet. honestly it seems like they are treating salvador like the main character. promotionally they seem to focus on sal and maya. also just found this pic. and damn customization is gonna be crazy in this one. - Spoiler:

Hm, you are right. It's only the grip, magazine, and stock that bare close resemblances. The receiver is a tiny bit similar. The barrel and hand guard don't really bare any resemblances. Ah well, close enough to an AK. Hope that type of gun has nice stats. Dual wielding revolvers will be fun. Slow RoF, 2-round capacity, high damage in one hand. Fast RoF, 6-round capacity, moderate damage in the other hand. Bang bang! Another image of a customized Sal. Definitely going to rock that pony shirt. - Spoiler:

but apparently you start out with only a couple options for the head, and some color schemes, and you unlock via loot. |

It's interesting that you bring that up Nobody because I was thinking the same thing... almost. I feel that Zero0 and Axton is are being showcased more, kinda. They're actually all sort of even in terms of screen time but you'll notice that Salvador and Maya where revealed first (respectively the 4th and 3rd most appealing characters among fans) followed by Axton and Zer0 (2nd and 1st). I think this was done because hardcore fans will see the first reveal, get hyped, and spread the word to less engrossed fans so that as interest peaks from word of mouth Gearbox shows off the other, more popular characters (even amongst hardcore fans). Or atleast that's my theory of their plan. I hope that makes sense. Just what I think. Any thoughts? EDIT: Also in the game (where it counts IMO) there will probably be extremely little (dialogue maybe) that changes based on character choice. So in that regard I bet that, like in Borderlands 1, they are all the main character. |

| I feel like they are really pushing the whole you can freaking dual wield any 2 guns with sal, and honestly I feel like axton is 4th. for me it would be zero, maya, sal, axton.
as far is order of promoting them I feel like maya and sal are the easiest to show off their powers. sal can dual wield, and maya can make an enemy float in the air. axton is a turret, and zero is a decoy. the last 2 require a bit more explaination as to why they are cool powers which is better saved for later on when your more willing to talk about your game, as opposed to just releasing some footage and such like when they 1st showed off maya and sal.
as for the dialogue. I dont think there is much actually talking with your character. its more NPCs talk to you, and you listen. you can have an impact through your actions and how you complete quests. but I dont expect any dialogue choices, and I dont feel like it should have any |

| That could be it.
As for the dialogue I agree. Though I'm not expecting much diffence in how you complete missions (example: Turn in "glamour shots" to Moxxi or Marcus). It's probably going to mostly be loot rewards that change, which isn't as bad as it sounds, to me. |

| I mean how the missions are more dynamic now. like how some can be failed, and others change depending on what you do. they arent as static as in the originl
also I think I heard you dont need to "turn in" a lot of quests. like the main quest will be more of a natural progression where once you complete a main quest it auto turns in you get the rewards and are giving the next quest right there on the fly. |
