| Anybody else found an awful enemy spawn in SP yet? - Spoiler:
I died on the section called 'Financial district' where you first encounter the hunter's trip wires by the van. I was making my way through the office and, having taken out the two guys inside, made my way out the furthest door. An awkward wrong button press made me stand up behind the car and the three hunters coming from near the tank shot me to pieces, I respawned back in the stairwell immediately into a grapple move with one of the guys I'd already killed. The shock meant I didn't get on the quick enough and I died again only to respawn into exactly the same situation.. This time he wasn't so lucky but I lost a chunk of health and had to be uber careful with the three guys outside because of it, (extended Bow-range FTW! ) Apart from that, the AI being stoopid a couple of times and a few graphical pop-up glitches, the game has been flawless... Well, if you ignore the three minute 'spores' load time at the start, obviously.

A lotta stuff really does happen unexpectedly and fast in this game if you are not careful. I do find myself muttering under my breath "Jeez guys you're all sprinting all over the place showing them where you are, STAHP!" then follow them hoping to create an ambush of some form.

- My tip for the game is basically this. Make sure you have enough points in your create a load out so that you can put on a silencer on your weapon (Semi automatic rifle, 9 mm, automatic etc) its sometimes hilarious how inept people are when you don't show up on the mini map.
- Quote :
- And the first thing you should try to buy is Armour, it gives you 3.. or 2 extra hits it makes it so you can easily make it out of a tough situation without sustaining any major damage.

- Oh yeah, and conserve your ammo. If your first shot doesn't hit, don't panic, just compose your self and adjust your aim a bit then do it again. 7 bullets should in theory take down 2 guys try to use them sparingly.
at 1st i used silenced weapons all the time wouldn't use anything else. then I switched to a booster only loadout. put 0 points into weapons and really I have no issue just using the revolver. using silenced weapons can be very useful, but certainly not needed. same for armor. I have bought armor 2 or 3 times. I hardly ever use it. on a head on fight armor wins out, but I rarely fight head on. Also FYI armor reduces damage by 50% until it breaks. |

| It's funny to watch so many people on Youtube play this game and fail at the mechanics of the game. Sprinting everywhere, not crafting at all, wasting smoke bombs, and just being stupid. One guy was running around the whole map on Survivors, just grabbing the supply boxes, not even killing anyone. |

| Beat the game on survivor difficulty, scoured the entire game and found all collectibles, conversations etc. Basically I've done everything in sp except NG + , I also listened to IGN's spoilercast that they posted today (very good, check it out on youtube of ign itself). If I review this I am giving it a 10/10, the game isn't perfect but no game is, The Last Of Us is superb and I think ND just gave the PS3 it's best game. The story is nearly immaculate and I think TLOU is better than Uncharted 2 in terms of singleplayer (Uncharted 2 was previously my favorite game).
I said previously that BioShock Infinite was my GOTY, not anymore !. |

| I just beat it, and just wanted to say that the ending is what a lot of games have a hard time doing well. and yet the ending on this game is....elegant. really no better word to describe it.
also really looking forward to playing through again with ellie all pimped out in jak and daxter gear. shame joel doesnt have any |

| Hey guys, Could not keep myself away from this any longer and so I just purchased it off the PS Store and I'm currently installing it. Do you know if the network pass is included, or do I need to buy it separately? If so, is the MP that good that it deserves it? Secondly, and most importantly.... which difficulty/settings would you guys recommend for my first playthrough? I'm considering going for the hardest difficulty and toggle the listen mode or whatever it's called off, but I'm not sure if it'll be too hard. |

| you only need to buy the online pass if you have a used copy (digital is never used) so no.
I played on hard it was a nice challenge, but not too hard. though I think the biggest difference in difficulties is the scarcity of resources. |

| I would definitely play it on hard, the resources are scarce and enemy's are tougher its the best experience for this game.
I played through the SP and some how I didn't upgrade Joel more than I think 4 times... was I really that bad at finding the upgrade parts. |

| eh, I didnt feel like most of the upgrades really made that big of a difference. besides it was likely balanced for NG+ so that you continue to upgrade him on other playthroughs. |

| Reo! I didn't play it on hard, I played it on normal my first time. Curretnly going through new game+. MP is fun, but its def. different from Uncharted. More slower, tactical paced and you wanna have a team most of the time. That's all I play with is 2-3 people.
On a side note, Thug G moment of the Day: playing with Jolli, Jaded and my friend DTeach, and we got matched against a 4 man team on Lakeside. We all got killed and eventually Jolli was the only one left. He bought armor, and ran up to 3 people and just started punching the crap out of them. He downed 2 and then started to execute one. he went out like a G as he died. You are my hero Jolli <3 |

| I have beaten it on survivor and I can confirm that resources are extremely scarce, I searched everywhere and only barely found enough ammo/resources to get me through. Hard difficulty isn't so bad in this regard.
It was really fun all the same and the difficulty itself isn't that bad, but I would recommend starting on normal because crafting is part of the experience and being able to do a bit more of that might be more fun for a 1st playthrough imo. Also, I started on normal because I always like to experience games for the first time without frustration which could occur on higher difficulties.

| Wow this is a great game. Im up to: - Spoiler:
the part where Sam turned and his brother shoots himself.
I'm on normal mode. Decided I wanted to get into the story a lot more, and hard difficulty breaks it up a bit too much with deaths. I'm not the best at these sorts of games after all. How far into the game would you say I am?? Halfway? 3/4? Just wondering if I should invest some time on it tonight is all... |
