Things are going well! I'm gone on a 6 day challenge streak to grind out the gold and explore the game more. Overall I have been enjoying it! Some days I only have time for a challenge or two, other days I have gone and done each of them for the day. I like the balance of them, with foraging, hunting, gunplay, etc. included each day. Getting to enjoy the environment, while still having an objective to go for, has been just about perfect for this type of game. I'm not one who can spend hours and hours without a true objective in what I'm doing, but right now the long-term goal of getting to explore the roles by earning gold has kept me going well. I'm looking forward to cashing in on the little bonus here after 7 days of challenges streak, and should have enough gold to begin a role in the next day or two! I'm thinking the trader role, but not entirely sure yet. If anyone has opinions otherwise or for a better role to start with, please let me know!

I've also found out that (no surprise), playing free roam events, series, or various missions are a very quick way to gain gold as well! At least it's relatively quick for me starting from scratch. These have been a good change of pace from the leisure exploration that most of the daily challenges lead me to, although I have to admit I am still not a big fan of the PvP modes in this game. I'll go on the record in saying that Railroad Baron is the worst online game mode I have ever played. Then again, I'm sure it's much more enjoyable when you're the one smoking everyone else with a headshot every bullet you fire

Picked up a scope for my repeater, a much faster Arabian horse, and a shotgun, which has all been helpful in playing better in different situations. All in all, I'm enjoying it quite a bit more than I was last year when I was first trying it out. I'm excited to try the roles out and see how they enhance the experience, but we'll see how long I stick with the daily streaks etc. before trying out one of the other games that have been burning a hole in my shelf or cleaning up some other trophies for other games I'd like to finish. Looking forward to hopefully rolling in a posse again sometime soon!

Dang, sorry about that Cel! Thanks for jumping in, though. During the week I've usually been spending only 15-20 minutes to keep the challenge streak rolling, so I wasn't on for long last night. I should have some time during the long weekend though!

Also, unlocked the trader role and started with that. I think it's going to add quite a bit of playability for me as I work through it!

Quick question: does completing a wagon drop off as a posse give the reward to everyone in the group, or at least on the wagon? Is that how we boosted a little at the beginning?

Also, a few quick notes in my Trader role escapades: Bought the elephant rifle, thinking it would put down bison and bears in one shot and preserve the perfect pelts with a headshot. It's super powerful, but I was surprised that the perfect pelt quickly went to crap with the shot. I figured that since the trapper Gus was selling it would be helpful for getting good pelts, but no cigar. Also, I've been finding that a good number of the trading missions, especially the resupply missions, have been very buggy for me. For example, the other day I was dropping off a prize turkey to some guy, but no matter how many times I dropped it, or got other turkeys, the mission would not accept it. Has anyone else experienced these bugs with the missions?

That being said, I've enjoyed having a little business to run and get materials for. I'd like to work my way to earning another role, since it has been adding the replayability I was looking for, but the many bugs have been frustrating.

Question for a question- Do you have the big wagon? 100 goods? If it's the 100 load, and it's your wagon, you get $625.00. Your posse members would get $300-something.

This game, man. Its so freaking Buggy. Most of which is super funny. But yeah. Aggravating at times. Closing out the app helps sometimes.
When we all were starting out, we didnt use mics and there were lots of wtf messages. It was a learning curve. I hope R☆ does something about their servers. But the funny glitches must stay!

I really gotta put a little time into this one.

You are. ♡ Its the only game that stopped me in my tracks with my other main games. I don't want to lose traction with either one tbh. That's why I have to devote more time to RDO. If no one needs my help over the weekend, I'll be on it.

I'm still working my way up the wagon size, currently on the small. Can only take 25 goods at a time atm. That's decent pay, though! Is there any gold reward?

Yeah, the bugs definitely lead to some laughs along the way. As I was getting frustrated by the dude not accepting my turkey, I tried to see if dynamite would change his mind. It didn't. Nor did it affect him in any way, once he got back on his feet
